LAKEWOOD RANCH — Nan Brunson has been named President and CEO of Gulfstream Property & Casualty Insurance Co.
Brunson was also named president and CEO of Catawba Insurance Co., according to a release. The position was announced by the Seibels Bruce Group, an insurance industry business process outsourcing firm. Gulfstream, based in a Lakewood Ranch corporate park, is an affiliate and business process outsourcing client of Seibels, and Catawba is a wholly owned subsidiary of Seibels, the release adds.
Brunson had been vice president of business development at Seibels and interim President and CEO of Gulfstream.
“I am excited that Nan will be taking on the full-time role of President and CEO at both Gulfstream and Catawba,” says Seibels Chairman and CEO Rex Huggins “Nan has been a tremendous asset to Seibels and brings a unique skill set to both companies. We are confident that she will serve the interests of the policyholders while maintaining alignment with the shareholders' approach to long-term, profitable and conservative growth.”
Gulfstream had $131.4 million in premiums in 2014. The firm was founded in 2004.
