The health care industry might be a Byzantine and logistical mess for patients, but it's the place to be for employees.

With eight of the top 10, the sector dominated a new study on in-demand jobs from CareerCast. An Internet jobs database, CareerCast looked at growth percentage forecasts and other demographic data to come up with its list, according to a statement.

While the list doesn't break out projected jobs data by state, it's clear Florida is at the forefront. For example, home health aide and physical therapist are ranked No. 1 and No 2, with 348,400 and 71,800 job openings expected by 2024 respectively. With Florida's high share of baby boomers, those categories are likely to remain at the top for years to come.

The two spots on the top 10 that aren't in health care are in IT-related fields. Web developer, with 39,500 jobs openings expected by 2024, an increase of 27% from 2017, is ranked No. 5 on the list. The CareerCast.com jobs database currently has 19,441 listings for a web developer.

The No. 8 most in-demand job, and the other non-health care category on the top 10, is for operations research analyst, or a data cruncher. CareerCast projects there will be an additional 27,600 operations research analyst jobs available by 2024. Wonder if those number crunchers will be analyzing health care data?
