Fort Myers area developer William Price Jr. and his son Matt Price were on to something in 2015 when they thought the commercial real estate market was about to go on a tear.

That's when they launched Seagate Development Group, along with some investor partners. Seagate bought more than 500,000 square feet of industrial and flex space in Southwest Florida. In addition, the company now has a diverse list of projects — new construction and renovations. The list includes:

• A recently completed a 15,000-square-foot interior build-out and exterior renovation for Emcyte Corp., a medical device manufacturer, packager and distributor. The $850,000 project included construction of a clean room to accommodate Emcyte's injection molding operations for manufacturing syringes and other items that are vacuum-sealed packaged prior to shipping;

• Working on a 14,000-square-foot single-story facility for Summit Church in Fort Myers. The nearly $2 million project involves masonry block construction and includes the creation of a large foyer, worship area and a large stage;

• Working on a construction management/design build renovation of the Sterling Oaks Clubhouse in Naples.

• Working on a build-out of a 19,900-square-foot office space for Gartner, one of the largest employers in Southwest Florida. Scheduled for completion in August, the project includes the selective demolition of existing tenant spaces to accommodate a larger space; and

• Chosen to lead a construction management/design and build project for Southport Truck Group's new commercial truck dealership in Fort Myers.
