NAPLES — A report from the Naples Area Board of Realtors revealed a 7% increase in closed home sales in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the second quarter of 2016.

The report lists 2,880 sales in the second quarter of 2017 and 2,704 sales in the second quarter of 2016.

According to the report, condominiums in the $2 million and above price category saw an 86% increase in closed sales. That category saw a 38% decrease in median closed price in the second quarter of 2017 from the second quarter of 2016. Pending sales in the North Naples market increased 20% when comparing the same periods.

“The North Naples area is making a big turnaround,” says John R. Wood Properties managing broker Coco Amar in a statement. “Especially in the condominium market which had the highest pending and closed sales reported.”

The Naples Area Board of Realtors also released data on June 2017 sales. The area saw a 9% increase in closed sales in June. There were 907 sales in June 2017 compared to 832 sales in June 2016.
