Treats from Norman Love Confections, available on select cruise ships and high-end car dealerships, among other locations, don't often end up at neighborhood garage and bake sales.

But a garage and bake sale scheduled for July 22 in Fort Myers that features goodies from the award-winning chocolatier is no ordinary event. The sale, instead, will benefit 7-year-old Cole Williams, the young son of Gary Williams, a chef at Artisan Gelato by Norman Love Confections. Cole is battling a life-threatening infection, and all proceeds will directly support Cole and his family with medical expenses.

“Cole is a beloved member of the Norman Love Confections family and has been battling a life-threatening infection since early June,” says Norman Love, president and founder of Fort Myers-based Norman Love Confections, in a statement. “My wife, Mary, and our entire Norman Love Confections family are pulling together to help the Williams family during this difficult time and we appreciate the outpouring of support from our customers and the community.”

A wide variety of home goods, furnishings and clothing will be available at the sale, in addition to Norman Love Confections baked goods. The event is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 22, at 802 Cal Cove Drive, Fort Myers. For more information or to make a donation, call Mary Love at 239-561-7215.
