College names new nursing dean

BRADENTON — Roseanne Fairchild has been named dean of nursing and health professions at State College of Florida.

Fairchild joins SCF from Indiana State University, where she was the director of the nursing practice and graduate nursing administration, and was also an associate professor, according to a statement. Fairchild, in coming to SCF, cited the nursing school's reputation, student performance and student-centered learning and community engagement. “I really appreciate the college's drive for excellence,” she says in the release.

Fairchild earned a Ph.D. in Health Systems Research and Leadership and a master's degree in Nursing Administration with a higher education focus from Indiana University School of Nursing.
