Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida named The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples Vice President and Managing Director Edward Staros and London Bay Homes President and CEO Mark Wilson to its Collier County 2017 Business Hall of Fame.

Staros was the third employee of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. when it was established in 1983, and is one of the founding fathers of the company, according to a release. He's also on several area boards, including the Lutgert College of Business Advisory Board; the Resort and Hospitality Management Advisory Board at Florida Gulf Coast University; the Florida affiliate of Fifth Third Bank; and the Ave Maria School of Law.

Wilson founded London Bay Construction in 1990. The company has an in-house team of interior designers, architects and renovation specialists from Marco Island to Sarasota. Wilson is a native of England, and a big part of his leadership at London Bay Homes is overseeing unique wellness and lifestyle programs for employees.

Junior Achievement hosts programs about work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy for kindergarten through 12th grade students. During the 2015-16 school year, Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida partnered with more than 150 classroom business volunteers to provide more than 8,700 students with Junior Achievement programs in more than 360 classes throughout Collier, Lee and Charlotte counties.

The Hall of Fame, founded in 1988, recognizes entrepreneurs who serve as role models for youth through their professional accomplishments and commitment to the community. A dinner and awards ceremony to honor Staros and Wilson is scheduled for Oct. 26 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort. For more information on the event, go to JASWFL.org.
