SARASOTA — Chris Caswell, former owner of Caswell Legal in Sarasota, has merged his law practice into Berlin Patten Ebling, one of the largest real estate-focused law firms in the Sarasota-Manatee region.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Caswell is the 12th attorney at Berlin Patten Ebling and was a named a partner at the firm, according to a statement. Caswell is a real estate and estate planning attorney, and has extensive experience handling residential and commercial real estate, wills, trusts, probate and business law, the release adds.
Caswell is also certified financial planner, and speaks frequently to large and small groups about wealth planning, real estate and business transactions.
Berlin Patten Ebling, with more than a dozen people in support and paralegal roles, in addition to the dozen attorneys, didn't handle estate planning prior to merging with Caswell.
