BRADENTON — A pair of existing Manatee County financial managers have merged to form Shoreline Financial Partners.

Sherrill Wealth Management and Wood Investment Management say their partnership will allow them to avoid a “pre-packaged agenda with proprietary products and profit-sharing agreements that steer clients to certain products.”

Gardner Sherrill and Danny Wood will offer financial planning and retirement strategies, estate counseling and conservation, investment management, advice on 401k and IRA accounts, insurance and annuities and tax and risk management.

The duo also will work with LPL Financial, the fourth-largest investment firm in the U.S. and the largest independent broker/dealer in the nation to leverage their financial services.

“We believe success today requires filtering the noise and relating pertinent information tailored to an individual's personal needs and capacity,” says Sherrill, a certified financial planner who opened Sherrill Wealth in 2012.

“We're no longer distracted by corporate goals that may not align with our clients' best interests. Our singular goal is to be our clients' last financial advisors.”

Wood has worked in the financial services industry since 1992, and opened his latest firm in 2014. In 2011, he opened Local Leads International, a community-based business networking group, in Manatee County.
