CLEARWATER — Moving and storage company PODS Enterprises LLC has expanded its foothold in the western United States with a new sales and service center in Reno, Nev., and plans to hire 300 new workers to staff the facility over the next two years.
In a press release, PODS says the expansion will help maintain the company's growth momentum, which, over the past three years, has allowed it to expand its Clearwater headquarters and increase its workforce by nearly 15%. PODS also states that it plans to hire 100 additional employees in 2018.
Founded in 1998, PODS specializes in self-serve, portable storage containers as an alternative to full-service moving truck companies.
As part of its five-year growth plan, the company says it is focused on supporting customers across the country. As a result, PODS has committed to developing sales and service operations beyond the Southeast, starting with its new presence in Nevada.
"PODS has experienced strong growth across North America," states PODS Vice President Eric Higdon in the release. "We are excited about the expansion of our sales and customer service operations into Reno."
