Digital design and marketing firm Atilus, one of the fastest growing web firms in Southwest Florida, has a special affinity for birds.

The Eagles from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, that is.

The Bonita Springs-based company's two newest hires, James Stephens and Sydney Fahrenbruch, recently graduated from FGCU — which brings the total number of school alumni at the firm to nine of 11 employees. Company founders Zach Katkin and Harry Casimir are also FCGU graduates.

Stephens, who earned a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from FGCU in 2014, joins Atilus as a web developer, according to a statement. Fahrenbruch, who graduated this month with a bachelor's degree in marketing, is the firm's administrative coordinator.

“We're thrilled to be able to hire top-notch individuals who obtained degrees from our alma mater,” says Katkin in the release. “Southwest Florida is blessed with a state university from which we can recruit the talent we need to grow our firm.”
