The new director of client development at a Naples ad agency can lay claim to being a real rock star. Well, the son of one, at least.
Kristian Lodge, named to the executive post at Wilson Creative Group last month, is the only son of John Lodge — bass guitarist, vocalist and songwriter of The Moody Blues. Born and raised in London, the younger Lodge began his marketing career working with his father's record label, where he promoted special events, produced albums and toured with the band. Before joining WCG, Lodge spent several years in radio and television advertising sales in Southwest Florida, according to a press release. He also previously worked for a video and digital production company in Los Angeles.

The director of client development is a newly created position at WCG, founded in 2007. He will help target new business for the firm, and help oversee sales strategies for new accounts. “He brings more than 20 years successful sales and marketing experience with strong knowledge of the business development process to serve WCG clients,” Wilson Creative Group founder and CEO Peggy Wilson in the statement.
