NAPLES — Dr. Robert Zehr was named chief of surgery for Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida in Naples.
Zehr is an orthopedic surgeon with over 25 years of surgical experience in complex joint reconstruction and rehabilitation, according to a press release. He helped develop Cleveland Clinic Naples, serving as executive director, chief of staff and head of orthopedic surgery.
When the clinic left the area, Zehr opened the Zehr Center for Orthopaedics in 2007. He also cofounded Seaside Surgery Center, an outpatient surgery center for total joint replacements. He serves as CEO and medical director of Seaside Surgery Center.
“Along with his excellent surgical outcomes and surgical skills, Dr. Zehr brings to Landmark a keen insight as to the future of orthopaedics,” says Landmark Hospitals Chairman Dr. William Kapp III in a statement. “His vision for the medical community of Naples aligns with ours, namely that Naples will become a medical tourism destination for unparalleled healthcare, particularly orthopaedic joint care.”
Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida is a 50-bed long-term acute care hospital. It's one of seven Landmark Hospitals in four states — Florida, Georgia, Utah and Missouri.
