FORT MYERS — Wisconsin-based customer service outsourcing company Alta Resources Corp. is expanding its seasonal workforce in the Fort Myers area in preparation for health insurance open enrollment.

According to a press release, more than 600 full-time and part-time customer service and sales positions are available. The temporary jobs include paid training.

“Thanks to the dedicated and enthusiastic service from our Fort Myers team, Alta Resources is able to hire an even greater number of seasonal employees this year,” says Alta Resources Fort Myers Managing Director Paul Makurat in a statement. “In fact, this year's hiring ramp-up marks the company's largest seasonal increase since 2014.”

The Fort Myers campus opened with five employees in 2013. It has grown to include more than 700 year-round employees. A press release says due to a new partnership with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which is the parent company for brands including Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge and Ram, Alta has hired nearly 400 year-round customer service representatives since July 10.

“Taking on Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as a client allowed us to dramatically increase the number of year-round Alta jobs in Fort Myers,” Makurat also says in a statement. “The nature of the health insurance industry, however, dictates the need for seasonal employees each year to support our health care client's annual open enrollment needs in customer service and sales.”

Alta provides customer management, business process outsourcing for a variety of industries, including customer-packaged goods, health insurance, entertainment and automotive. Its headquarters and fulfillment center is in Neenah, Wis., with additional locations in California and the Philippines.
