CAPE CORAL — The restaurateurs behind Fathoms Restaurant & Bar and The French Press in the Cape Harbour Marina plan to open a new restaurant, named Gather.

Gather, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, a full bar and picnic lunches for boaters, is expected to open in early October at Tarpon Point Marina, according to a statement. The concept also includes an international gastro-bar menu and craft cocktails.

The team behind Fathoms, through an entity called HGH LLC, are behind Gather. HGH includes Benjamin Voisin, Valeria Zanella Voisin and Meredith and Timothy Hoffman. Fathoms General Manager Kathy Stephan, senior mixologist Jeremy Vincent and The French Press Manager Sue McCormick helped spearhead the Gather concept and will oversee its operations, the release states. Gather will offer indoor seating for 67 diners, plus several tables outdoors.

“Gather is a culmination of our team's desire, passion and drive to develop a new concept that combines the best of The French Press and Fathoms to achieve a unique waterfront dining experience,” Chef Ben Voisin says in the statement. “This wouldn't have happened without our talented team and the support of Tarpon Point.”

Gather is currently hiring for about 20 positions, including line cooks, servers and bartenders.
