Little Greek Fresh Grill, a fast-growing Tampa based fast casual chain, has a reeled in a big investor.

Restaurant industry veteran Chuck Winship, former CEO of Beef O'Brady's, has invested in the company, according to a statement. Terms of the investment weren't disclosed.

Under the leadership of Nick Vojnovic, who held senior leadership positions at Beef's under Winship, Little Greek, has expanded from four restaurants to 31 locations in five states since 2011. Systemwide sales have doubled since 2013, to more than $15 million.

“I'm doing this because I believe in Little Greek and Nick's team,” Winship says in a statement. “I envision the company developing from a regional to a national player.”

Winship was CEO of Beef O'Brady's for more than 12 years. His restaurant experience also includes stints with Chili's Grill and Bar and Steak and Ale. “It's great to be working with Chuck again,” Vojnovic says in the statement. “He will bring us an additional depth of experience as we position Little Greek for future growth.”

Little Greek has locations in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Texas. Restaurant research firm Technomic named Little Greek one of its Six Franchises to Watch in 2016.
