Bank appoints new board member

TAMPA — Area entrepreneur Bob Beard has been named to the board at First Citrus Bancorporation and its bank, First Citrus Bank.

“Bob is an excellent addition to our Board,” First Citrus Bancorporation Chairman Michael Adcock says in a statement. “He brings a wealth of knowledge with over thirty years of audit management and lending experience.”

Beard founded Aegis Business Credit and Aileron Capital Management, among other companies. His skills and expertise include asset based lending, mortgage lending and strategic planning, according to a statement.

“Bob's Big Eight accounting experience, auditing financial institutions, adds another level of expertise in our Board Room,” says John Barrett, President and CEO of First Citrus Bank, in the release.

First Citrus Bank had $324.3 million in revenues through March 31, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. data.
