Tech company promotes employee to executive

CLEARWATER — Clearwater-based IT services provider Vology named Scott Caschette chief information security officer.

Caschette was promoted from senior technology strategist, according to a press release. In his new role, he will lead Vology's managed security practice, protecting customers and employees against cybersecurity threats.

Prior to joining Vology, Caschette was chief information officer at Albertelli Law.

"In less than a year, Scott has become an integral part of the Vology team, offering distinctive insight as a former CIO for one of our customers," says Vology CEO Barry Shevlin in a statement. "With his pragmatic approach to problem solving and his security background, he was the ideal choice to take the CISO role and build out our managed security practice."

According to a press release, Vology monitors, manages and maintains 260,000 devices at more than 32,000 locations. it had $171 million in revenue last year.
