A national blog and website that covers health care administration degrees gave high marks to the online bachelor's degree in health administration offered at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.

The site lauded SCF for the program's low cost, student success and curriculum. The program, with an overall score of 86 out of 100, was ranked fourth nationwide on the top 10 list of online health administration degrees. Weber State University in Ogden, Utah was the top school on the list, followed by Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. and the University of Minnesota-Crookston.

SCF's program, the website states, “covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of the field, from health care delivery to risk management to evidence-based research methods. And SCF's curriculum is particularly enticing for its unique elective courses, which include biology of aging, dietary influences on disease and managing cultural diversity.”

SCF started to offer health administration bachelor's degrees online in 2011 and to date 82 students have graduated from the program, according to a release. Tuition for the SCF program is $7,340 a year, according to health care administration degrees' website.
