Organization boosts board with four new members

BRADENTON — Realize Bradenton Inc., a nonprofit focused on economic development community and , has added four people to its 12-member board.

The new members were each elected to three-year board positions, a statement says. These are the newly elected board members:
• Mark Boehmig, a Realtor with Michael Saunders & Co. Boehmig spent 30 years of his career in the manufacturing industry in Georgia, including 14 years leading his own company, Technical Toolings Systems.
• Jedd Heap, a project architect with Fawley Bryant Architects. Heap is currently the regional representative of the Suncoast chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute. He is a past president of the Gulf Coast chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
• Dr. Mike Mears, vice president of strategic initiatives at State College of Florida. Mears has held multiple positions with the college, including professor of mathematics, dean of instruction and vice president of Baccalaureate programs.
• Sue Revell, executive director of the Manatee County Bar Association. Revell has been in her current positions since 1991, where she handles administration and communications.

Realize Bradenton's core goal as a nonprofit organization is to create a vibrant downtown area. The organization lists business growth, downtown promotion, community pride, visitor attraction and quality of life as its five impact areas.
