ST. PETERSBURG — The University of South Florida's St. Petersburg campus announced Sridhar Sundaram as dean of the Kate Tiedemann College of Business, effective July 1.

Sundaram will oversee the faculty and work with the university's leadership team to develop new strategies, a statement says. He replaces Gary Patterson, who has been interim dean since June 2014.

Sundaram joins the college from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Mich., where he was associate dean for graduate programs and centers and academic director of the executive MBA and full-time integrated MBA program, the statement says. He was also chair of the finance department for seven years.

“(Sundaram) has a track record of developing relationships with community partners that will be critical to our success,” Patterson says. “And, importantly, he has demonstrated innovation in developing academic programs that prepare students to meet the demands of a dynamic workforce environment.”
