PORT CHARLOTTE — Fuccillo Automotive Group plans to hire 100 people to staff its new Port Charlotte Kia dealership.
Fuccillo announced it would conduct a three-day job fair at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center in Punta Gorda from July 27 to 29. The dealer plans to hire sales, service and administrative staff for its 50,000-square-foot facility now under construction in Charlotte County.
“So far we have given away 1,200 applications,” said Amy Homa, marketing director of the Fuccillo Automotive Group, in a statement. Homa says applicants have come from as far away as Tennessee.
“There has been a lot of excitement around the arrival of Billy Fuccillo and his new Kia dealership,” says Charlotte County Economic Development Director Lucienne Pears, in a statement. “Charlotte County welcomes Mr. Fuccillo, and is always looking for businesses with good employment opportunities for its citizens.”
Based in New York, Fuccillo has been expanding in Florida with dealerships located in Cape Coral, Merritt Island and Westley Chapel.
