BONITA SPRINGS — A former Lincoln dealership in fast-growing Bonita Springs will get new life as a Mitsubishi franchise, in a move that includes up to 40 new jobs.

Longtime auto dealers Bill Doraty and Jeff Johnson own the new dealership, named Bonita Springs Mitsubishi, according to a release. The store, more than 16,000 square feet at 28450 South Tamiami Trail, is scheduled to open June 27. Financial terms of the franchise transaction were not disclosed.

“We are very excited about our facility,” Johnson says in the statement. “Because it was once a Lincoln dealership, it allowed us to create a very nice, pleasant atmosphere. As a result, our customers can purchase an affordable vehicle — and still get the white glove service and amenities usually reserved for luxury dealerships.”

An official grand opening of the dealership, according to the statement, is in the planning stages.
