CLEARWATER — Boat and yacht retailer MarineMax has brought a rare Italian yacht to the United States.
The boat, located at the MarineMax Pompano Yacht Center, is the first Azimut Magellano 76 yacht in American waters, a statement says. A former owner of a different Azimut yacht purchased it, the statement says.
The sale price of the yacht was not disclosed, but the Azimut Magellano 76 is listed as starting from $3.7 million on Azimut's Montenegro website. The boat features two 1,000 horsepower engines.
Clearwater-based MarineMax is the nation's largest recreational boat and yacht retailer. The company has 56 retail locations in 16 states and operations MarineMax Vacations in Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
