SARASOTA — Bank of America announced that Mike McCoy will take over as market president for the Sarasota-Manatee region.

McCoy will succeed Ed Luecke, who is leaving the market for a new assignment in Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, according to a statement.

Along with his role as market president, McCoy is business banking market manager for Bank of America. In this role, he will lead a team of client relationship managers to help small to mid-sized companies in the region grow, improve cash flow and invest for the future, the statement says.

Outside of banking, McCoy serves on multiple committees in the region. He is part of the Leadership Sarasota and Leadership Manatee programs, chairman of the Manatee County Salvation Army board and a member of the USF Community Leadership Council.
