Health firm brings in new president and CEO

TAMPA — Antibiotics developer Oragenics Inc. named Alan Joslyn the company's new top executive.

Effective June 6, Joslyn is Oragenics' president and CEO, a statement says. He is also a member of the company's board of directors.

Joslyn most recently served as a founding partner in Pennsylvania-based Lazarus Pharmaceuticals, the statement says. He has also worked as CEO and director of multiple privately held companies.

Oragenics Inc. is a developer of antibiotics against infectious disease and treatments for oral mucositis, the statement says. The business, founded in 1996, has established two worldwide collaborations with Intrexon Corporation Inc., a synthetic biology company.
