SARASOTA — Wireless communications firm xG Technology Inc. entered into a partnership agreement with two companies to have its product used by correctional agencies.

The partnership with Abilis Solutions Inc. and Radio IP Software Inc. will input xG's xMax broadband network technology into a secure wireless system, a statement says. The final product and system, for use in correctional agencies, combines the xMax wireless network architecture and Radio IP's VPN features with Abilis' CORIS Mobile Offender Management System.

Founded in 2002, xG Technology (symbol: XGTI; recent price: $0.96) has more than 100 patents and pending patent applications.
