New Tervis president boosts lifetime guarantee

VENICE — Newly appointed Tervis President Rogan Donelly has made the company's lifetime guarantee even sweeter.

As of July 1, customers can replace their cups in-store and walk out with a replacement immediately, a statement says. The new policy was implemented at five stores in Florida — Osprey, Fort Myers, North Palm Beach, The Villages and St. Armand's Circle.

Chad Blankenship, head of stores for Tervis, says at the store level, employees of the company heard “consumer pain points first-hand.” The updated policy will help eliminate shipping costs and waiting for local Tervis customers, the statement says.

“Tervis consumers are very passionate about the product,” Donelly says in the statement. “When they started speaking out about the Made for Life Guarantee policy, we reacted. We knew we needed to make a change.”

Founded in 1946, Tervis is a third-generation family-owned business with about 1,000 employees. Donelly, 31, was named president in May.
