SARASOTA — Sarasota construction firm Satterfield & Pontikes Construction has two contracts to construct Wal-Mart stores.

The two projects, both in Sarasota, include a 38,750-square-foot Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Clark Road and a 4,000-square-foot Wal-Mart Beer, Wine & Spirits on the corner of University Parkway and Lockwood Ridge, a statement says. The stores will employ up to 50 and 10 employees, respectively.

The two Wal-Mart contracts mark the 20th and 21st for S&P since it entered the Florida market. The firm, founded in 1989, was ranked as one of Engineering News-Record's Top 100 Green Builders in America.
