NAPLES — Electronic payment processing firm ACI Worldwide named Marco Bravo vice president for its business unit in Latin America.

Bravo has nearly three decades of international leadership experience, including senior roles with Microsoft and IBM, according to a statement. He led enterprise and partner group sales for Microsoft Brasil, and he also previously led software solution sales and business development for IBM's Latin America Software Group, the statement adds.

“Latin America's financial institutions, intermediaries and merchants are poised to participate in the reinvention of payments,” Bravo says in the statement. “ACI has a strong understanding of Latin America and its regional markets, and I'm excited to join this talented team and open new innovative business opportunities to the region's economies.”

Nales-based ACI Worldwide manages electronic payments for 5,100 organizations and more than 1,000 of the largest financial institutions use the firm to execute $14 trillion each day in payments and securities.
