PORT CHARLOTTE — Bert's Black Widow announced it was Florida's highest-volume Harley Davidson dealer in November and December.

Under new ownership since August, Bert's Black Widow in Port Charlotte says it sold 245 new and used Harley-Davidson motorcycles the last two months of 2015. The company also says it earned a spot among the top 10% in sales of dealers nationwide.

“It's all about having good people on your team to continue to attract the loyal customer base that we have,” says dealer operator Bert King, who has tripled the staff to 60 since he acquired the dealership with some partners.

Located at 2224 El Jobean Road in Port Charlotte, Bert's Black Widow Harley-Davidson operates a 35,000-square-foot dealership that includes a service center, parts and accessories, free food, self-serve beer and entertainment. The dealership plans to build a riding academy nearby and an expanded entertainment venue.
