Accounting firm names new shareholder

TAMPA — Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gunn has elected Suzanne Cox to be a shareholder in the accounting and consulting firm, beginning Jan. 1.

Cox, who joined the firm in 2007 and has worked as a senior manager of its audit and assurance services department, becomes the practice's 16th shareholder, according to its website.

Cox, a Florida certified public account who also holds a construction industry technician designation, focuses primarily on auditing, accounting, taxation and consulting services for Saltmarsh's construction, manufacturing and technology clients.

Founded in 1944, Saltmarsh has offices in Tampa, Orlando, Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach. The firm specializes in traditional audit and assurance, tax planning and accounting and consulting services.
