TAMPA — Wasson Bay Area Insurance, founded by Chuck Wasson 25 years ago, has acquired Clearwater-based Alley, Rehbaum & Capes Assurance.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

The combined company will be named ARCW Insurance, according to a statement. Wasson says the firm will remain independently run, with a variety of personal and commercial lines.

“Wasson Bay Area Insurance's roots are as a family business whose motto was 'Whatever life throws at you, we'll help you get through it,'” says Wasson in the statement. “This new venture will continue that philosophy and offer even more opportunities to meet our client's needs."

Alley, Rehbaum & Capes Assurance was founded 80 years ago.
