NAPLES — Dr. Allen Weiss, president and CEO of the NCH Healthcare System, is one of eight medical officials nationwide elected to the board of trustees of the American Hospital Association.
Weiss's term begins Jan. 1, according to a statement, and runs three years.
Weiss has run NCH, a 715-bed, two-hospital integrated health care system, for the past decade. Before that he was president of the Naples-based organization. Weiss, according the statement, is also the immediate past chair of the Florida Hospital Association and has served on an AHA regional policy board.
