TAMPA — McManis & Monsalve Associates, an Erie, Pa.-based management and business risk consulting firm with a subsidiary in precision machining and welding, is expanding to Tampa, with a facility in the Drew Park neighborhood.

The move, according to a statement from the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corp., will create up to 12 jobs by 2018 and generate $700,000 in capital investment. Available positions include machine operators, mechanics, and administrative professionals, the statement adds. The EDC assisted McManis & Monsalve Associates with a custom property search for its new offices, connections to the City of Tampa for Community Redevelopment Area grant opportunities and introductions to CareerSource Tampa Bay and the Hillsborough County Manufacturing Alliance for workforce support.

McManis & Monsalve Associates does work for the federal government and the military, among other clients, and CEO Marco Monsalve cites the proximity to MacDill Air Force Base as one reason for the move. Monsalve, in the statement, also cites a skilled workforce and supply of HUBZone available properties in Drew Park. Monsalve Tool & Design provides precision machining, conventional machining, welding, CAD, design/build and engineering services.
