NAPLES — Opportunity Naples and the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of the 2016 Excellence in Industry awards.
The winners “exemplify the use of innovation, a responsible approach to economic diversification and business and community enhancement,” a statement says. There are six award categories. These are the winners:
• Business Expansion: DeAngelis Diamond Construction Inc.
• Company to Watch: Pure Florida
• Heart of the Community: Champions for Learning
• Pillar Award: Gulfshore Insurance Inc.
• Young Professional of the Year: Brandon Box, senior vice president and commercial banking group manager at Iberiabank
• Chairman's Award: Collier County Public Schools
The 24-year-old awards program has honored more than 150 businesses and individuals in its history. This year's award recipients will be honored in an awards ceremony on Sept. 28 and the Hilton Naples.
