TAMPA — Electronics distributor DOW Electronics has acquired Georgia-based dB South Distributing, a statement says.

The acquisition will bring additional customers and vendor relationships to Tampa-based DOW, along with an increase in territory agreements. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This acquisition will allow DOW to fortify our position as a leading 12-volt and customer integration/consumer electronics distributor in the states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi,” says John Yodzis, DOW's executive vice president, in the statement.

DOW Electronics has seven locations and serves 11 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Its areas of business include appliances, satellite television and surveillance, among others.
