St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport had a record-setting month in March.
During the month, 184,454 passengers traveled through the airport, a statement says. That's a 10.2% increase over March 2015.
March is reflective of a strong first quarter 2016 for the airport. Its year-to-date passenger traffic is up 14%, the statement says, putting it on pace to top last year's record-breaking numbers. So far, more than 447,000 passengers have traveled through the airport.
St. Pete-Clearwater Airport's traffic share is dominated by Allegiant. In April, Allegiant will add services from St. Pete to Dayton, Ohio and Flint, Mich., the statement says. It will add a flight to New Orleans in June.
