Six Bends, the motorcycle Mecca in Fort Myers, is about to get bigger and louder.

The development, home to the Harley-Davidson dealership nearly the size of a football field near the intersection of Interstate 75 and Daniels Parkway, is launching the second phase of its development on the 16.5-acre site.

The $5 million project will include four two-story buildings to house restaurants, a brewery, retail shops and other businesses. An anchor for the space will be announced within a month, says Scott Fischer, founder of Scott Fischer Enterprises, the Harley dealer and developer of Six Bends.

“Our strategy there is really about completing the vision of Six Bends: It's to encompass more activities and become an urban entertainment center,” Fischer says. “It's going to be a destination, a place for people to visit, hang out, meet friends, whether they ride or not.”
