Roper Technologies Inc. acquired two companies to grow its presence in the health care technology sector.
One company Lakewood Ranch-based Roper bought is CliniSys Group Ltd., a European supplier of laboratory information management systems, according to a statement. CliniSys, based outside London, provides clinical laboratory and order communication systems in 34 countries. That deal is subject to regulatory approvals from authorities in Germany and the United Kingdom, the release adds.
Roper also acquired Atlas Medical, which connects labs with electronic health records. Atlas is based in Calabasas, Calif.
Roper Technologies is a business conglomerate, in everything from medical software to IT. The company, with more than $3.5 billion in sales in 2014, has made multiple acquisitions over the past year.
