The people at Squaremouth sure have a lot of fun for a company that runs an online platform for users to compare travel insurance products.
There's the unlimited paid vacation, free beer and mandatory birthday bonuses that must be spent at a bar or restaurant. There's the downtown St. Petersburg headquarters, with its wide views, open spaces and of course, a pool table. There's more: The company, with $4.6 million in sales last year, gave each employee iPads in 2011 and 2013, and bought an Apple Watch for each of its 24 people earlier this year.
Now comes the latest fun dip, a high-definition live video feed of the St. Petersburg Pier being demolished, taken from Squaremouth's offices. The pier is being rebuilt, and crews spent September tearing it down, one of several phases.
Squaremouth released a time-lapse video of the work in September, and says it release more videos monthly and following major milestones on the way to the new development, named Pier Park. The live and time-lapse video can be found here: https://www.squaremouth.com/st-petersburg-pier-cam
