TAMPA — Xcelience, an international contract development and manufacturing firm in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, opened a new 71,000-square-foot headquarters.

The building, at 4910 Savarese Circle, will also be home to Xcelience's formulation lab, according to a statement. Build out plans for a new analytical lab are in development.

With the new facility, the company “will be able to increase capacity throughout the organization,” says Xcelience president and CEO Derek Hennecke in the statement. “More capacity means we can be more flexible in dealing with changing client needs and timelines.”

In March, Xcelience invested $9 million to expand its Tampa operations. The company, which was founded in 2006, has more than 200 employees.
