PLANS, DESCRIPTION:
Prominent New York City real estate professional Donald Zucker purchased a 6,119-square-foot convenience store for $4.02 million.

The price equated to $657 per square foot. That figure is higher than the two-year average price per square foot for retail space ($129) in the Tampa Bay area, according to the CoStar Group.

The gas station, which opened in December, is leased to Wawa Inc. and operated as a Wawa store. The store, which has 20 gas pumps, was the first Bradenton location for the northeast convenience store chain.

Zucker is both an investor, developer and founder of the New York City real estate firm, The Donald Zucker Co. He and the firm developed or renovated buildings in Manhattan that created more than 4,000 apartments.

Over the past three years, Zucker has purchased 16 net leased properties in Florida and has another two under contract.
