Money flows from wine fest

The Naples Children & Education Foundation, the group that organizes the Naples Winter Wine Festival, recently handed out $11.9 million in grants to more than 30 charities in Collier County.

The top five winners:

Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, $1 million

Guadalupe Center, $775,000

Redlands Christian Migrant Association, $486,760

Children's Advocacy Center, $493,151

Early Literacy and Learning Model, $450,000

First-time recipients include the Conservancy of Southwest Florida ($80,000), the Gargiulo Education Center ($52,000), the Holocaust Museum of Southwest Florida ($50,000), the South Florida National Parks Trust ($46,000) and the United Arts Council ($58,000).
