NAPLES — Medical-device manufacturer Arthrex is one of the top 100 companies to work for in the U.S., according to a ranking by Fortune magazine.

Among the company's perks that made it a winner:

•Employees who achieve five years of service get a company paid trip to the destination of their choice plus an extra 40 hours of paid time off;

•Free catered lunches by Arthrex' chef and free gym memberships;

•Profit sharing and health insurance that covers 100% of monthly premiums for the employee and 50% for dependents;

•The company's founder and president, Reinhold Schmieding, makes his Montana ranch available for employees and their families to enjoy as a vacation destination.

“By investing in our employees' well-being and professional development, we are investing in Arthrex's long-term success,” says Schmieding, in a statement. Fortune ranked Arthrex No. 94.

Arthrex manufactures over 8,500 products for arthroscopic and orthopedic surgical procedures. The company is privately held and headquartered in Naples.
