Scott Rimmer has joined the Sarasota office of Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group as a commercial real estate adviser. Rimmer, the former vice president of business attraction for the Sarasota County Economic Development Corp., will specialize in industrial properties in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties. Prior to moving to Sarasota from Boston, Rimmer held senior executive positions with JPMorgan, State Street Bank & Trust Co., Siemens and Digital Equipment Corp. (now Hewlett-Packard).
