Unicorp National Developments creating new Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant

PLANS, DESCRIPTION:
Orlando-based developer Unicorp National Developments Inc. purchased the 18,000-square-foot Breeze Plaza in North Naples for $2.2 million.

The price equated to $122 per square foot. That figure is lower than the two-year average price per square foot for retail space ($144) in Southwest Florida, according to the CoStar Group.

The 2.07-acre property features an 11,000-square-foot retail building and a 7,400-square-foot restaurant building.

Unicorp National Developments plans to demolish both buildings to construct an 11,000-square-foot new Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant.

“Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant wanted us to find them a place in the market,” Chuck Whittall, president of Unicorp National Development, says. “We hope to be under construction in the early first quarter and open in September.”

Unicorp National Developments will stay on as landlord for the new building.

According to its website, Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant has 19 locations in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin and four more scheduled to open in 2015.
