Lennar Homes buys 65 acres west of River Bend community

PLANS, DESCRIPTION:
Miami-based Lennar Homes purchased 65 acres south of 21st Avenue Southwest for $4.25 million.

The price equated to $65,385 per acre.

The Ruskin agricultural land was previously used as a palm tree farm. As currently zoned and entitled, the property could be used to develop about 230 single-family homes.

Ryan Sampson of Eshenbaugh Land Co. handled the transaction.

“Lennar Homes is already building to the east in River Bend,” Sampson says. “This will likely be a new phase of that project.”
