CLEARWATER — The Sunwing Travel Group announced its Sunwing Airlines is launching a direct, non-stop flight from Ottawa to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. The new three-and-a-half hour flight will start on Dec. 18 and depart every Thursday.
To celebrate the launch of the new route, Sunwing Vacations will offer a 40% discount on the second of two seats purchased for travel to St Pete-Clearwater between Sept. 10-19 from Ottawa, Toronto or Halifax for travel between Nov. 3 and May 13, 2015.
“We are delighted to be able to offer a third gateway from Canada to St. Petersburg/Clearwater,” Andrew Dawson, chief operating officer of the Sunwing Travel Group, says in a press release. “Florida is an ever popular destination amongst our clientele, and we receive consistently good feedback from both our customers and travel agent partners. We are certain this addition to our flight schedule will be well received by our customers.”
