SARASOTA — Dr. Thomas Trinchetto has been named chief medical officer at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota, a medical center he's worked at since 2002.

Trinchetto was previously chief of staff and chief of medicine at Doctors Hospital, a 155-bed acute care medical facility, according to a release. He's also worked at Fisherman's Hospital in Marathon, where he was medical director of emergency services. Trinchetto's clinical experience includes more than 30 years in emergency care and four years of inpatient critical care.

“Dr. Trinchetto's clinical and leadership experience positions him well for the chief medical officer role, says Doctors Hospital President and CEO Bob Meade. “As CMO, he will be an instrumental part of strengthening the relationship between hospital administration and the medical staff, in addition to maintaining the high quality of medical care at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota.”
